Park Place Technologies Summer Externship

I Wish are pleased to announce the launch of the alumni programme to ensure that the networks established at the I Wish events are maintained into the participants future in STEM. This is open to anyone who has visited/participated in the I Wish event in the past and want to stay connected with the female STEM community. The alumni programme will feature networking events as well as the opportunity to pay it forward and volunteer or participate in mentoring of young girls through the I Wish programme.

This is an exciting opportunity to become part of the I Wish movement, to continue your network with women in stem as you progress through your career, as well as the opportunity to be a role model to young girls who need your help to start their own journeys in STEM.

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING ON THE EXTERNSHIP :

Park Place Technologies has an exclusive Women in STEM (WINS™) externship program.  Their program has a special focus on advancing opportunities for women in STEM, including leadership training, mentorship and coordination with our CORK WINS™ program – an externship program bringing women from Ireland to the US to gain technical experience from our Tech team!

Did we forgot to mention that all your hard work will culminate in an end of externship presentation to Management and C-Suite Executives?  Don’t worry, we got your back. We’ll prepare you with everything you need during your experience with us to ensure it goes over smoothly. 

WHAT WILL YOUR DAY LOOK LIKE :

  • Enterprise Support Centre operations – Listen Live!
  • Advanced Engineering technical troubleshooting and problem solving
  • Managed Service Proactive Support and problem solving
  • Exposure to data center equipment and lifecycle of hardware from replacement to recovery
  • Engage in Hardware systems integration
  • And more!

WHAT IS INCLUDED IN THE WINNING PRIZE :

Winners will receive the following:

  • Round trip airfare to Cleveland, Ohio
  • 5 Days of STEM “hands on experience” at Park Place Technology
  • $500.00 in spending money
  • Accommodations and meals
  • Sightseeing in Cleveland, Ohio
