Caitlin Heslin

Caitlin Heslin has worked across Ireland’s medical device and biopharmaceutical industries. She holds a degree in Microbiology and a PhD in cell/plasma biology, with experience at Pfizer, Abbott Diagnostics and Alexion, AstraZeneca Rare Disease. She’s collaborated with diverse teams, tackled tough manufacturing challenges and supported the launch of 28 diagnostic products. Currently, Caitlin leads the Technical Services team in Drug Substance Manufacturing – delivering safe, effective medicines for rare diseases. The role involves partnering with Quality, Engineering, R&D, Automation and Validation to improve processes and enable new therapies. Caitlin would say herself that her path wasn’t linear – having started as a lifeguard and swim teacher and even worked as a private cook. She believes curiosity, teamwork and persistence are the real superpowers in STEAM.
