Rachael Purcell

Biomedical Engineer, Stryker,

Rachael is a biomedical engineer with 1.5 years of experience at Stryker, where she began as an intern working in developing digital solutions for customized patient implants. She holds a bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering from University of Limerick and is currently completing her master's in Medical Device Technology and Business. As part of Stryker's graduate program, Rachael gained diverse experience through four rotations: enhancing manufacturing processes with digital solutions, R&D of materials to develop bone cements, improving inspection processes in manufacturing through digital solutions, and designing and simulating the behaviours of shoulder implants. Outside of work, she enjoys baking, cooking, traveling, attending concerts and music festivals, and doing craft projects!
