Emma McQuiggan
Senior Design Engineer, Gas Networks Ireland,
Emma is a Senior Design Engineer at Gas Networks Ireland, working within the compressor stations and supplying gas to GNI’s transmission and distribution networks throughout Ireland and Scotland. Emma has always been passionate about the energy industry having undertaken several work placements within the gas industry and carrying out a master’s dissertation on renewable gas. After graduating from a Mechanical Engineering degree at Queen’s University Belfast she joined a gas distribution company rotating throughout the construction, operations, maintenance and health and safety teams. In 2022 she joined the design team at GNI, working on large transmission projects and has since rotated into the compressor area, designing projects that supply critical gas and energy infrastructure to Ireland.
